Apple devices achieves the highest customer satisfaction score

No product line is enough to beat Mac and iPad in terms of customer satisfaction in the PC and tablet market in 2019.

That is the result of the new data published today by the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI).

In the Household Appliance and Electronics Report 2019 (Apple and electronics reports), Apple scored 83 ACSI, which is on par with it achieved in 2018. Apple’s overall satisfaction score is higher than Samsung scores (81 points), Amazon (79 points), HP (78 points), Acer (77 points) and others you can see in the table below:

According to the ACSI report: “According to the overall industry ranking, Apple ranked first for the second consecutive year with a stable and fairly high score of 83, and its customers so far have had expectations. Despite dropping 1%, Samsung still holds the 2nd position and is no longer in harmony with Amazon, which has dropped to 3rd. Amazon dropped 4% to 79, only 1 point higher than the industry average. Of the top three, Apple shows superiority in all aspects of the customer experience, but still lags behind Samsung and Amazon in value. ”

ACSI says that Samsung is the industry leader when it comes to the desktop segment, with Apple in second place, but Apple devices win in the laptop and tablet segments, resulting in a high overall score. Best for this brand.

Like last year, Apple achieved the highest rankings for everything from device design, to existing features and applications.

In terms of overall customer satisfaction, desktop PCs, notebooks and tablets still lag behind overall smartphone satisfaction, but among the larger devices, desktop computers have the highest level of customer satisfaction. .

It is known that in order to create a scoring system and give scores for such devices, ACSI used data from interviews with approximately 300,000 customers, thereby analyzing customer satisfaction for hundreds of companies in dozens of different industries.

Apple’s Fifth Avenue reopened: the store is back

After a period of closure for upgrade since 2017, Apple officially reopened the legendary Fifth Avenue Apple Store in New York, the same day the new iPhone trio sells worldwide.

An iconic store like Apple’s Fifth Avenue is very hard to restore. Over the past 13 years the cube with bright Apple logo on the glass doors has been becoming a famous place in New York while the surrounding skyscrapers stand and show the above view. Upgrading this store is like marking history for Apple.

Steve Jobs – the late Apple CEO choose the location for the store in 2006 and he himself welcome the early customers who visit the cube. Until now, Apple’s Fifth Avenue has received more than 57 million visitors, exceeding the ones for the Empire State Building or the Statue of Liberty. The glass cubes is the places where Apple launch the first iPhone in 2007.

And the curtain is coming down, on September 20 the legendary Apple ‘s Fifth Avenue Store in New York has officially reopened, and at the same time Apple products namely iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max officially put on the shelves of the cellphone shop. The store  has close for refurbishment since 2017. The Apple Store at that time was moved to a different building nearby.

And Apple only keeps their logo in New York City and remains the door with 15 glass panels but changes the inside completely. The old store is ruined and Apple designs the new one with the support of Foster and Partners architecture firm. Apple also rebuilds the square surroundings. Below the store there are 62 circular skylights which shone natural light. There are 18 sky lens in the left and right of the cube, including shiny metal chairs which can also bring a panoramic view under the store.

Many restaurants in China are using serving robots (Part 1)

Serving robots have become an attractive option for restaurants in China as recruitment of waiters has become increasingly difficult.

Two years ago, Bao Xiangyi dropped out of school and waited in a restaurant for half a year to support himself, and the 19-year-old recalled that time in a difficult and obsessive way.

“It’s crazy to work in a number of Chinese restaurants. The number of my daily steps WeChat measured reached 20,000 steps in just one day, just taking food inside the restaurant alone.” , Bao said.

And this made him quit the waiter job and decided to go back to school, he is now a university in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province.

Serving robots developed by Pudu Tech, a startup in Shenzhen, have been adopted by thousands of restaurants in China, as well as several other countries including Singapore, South Korea and Germany.

“I cannot accept that 365 days a year would be like that,” Bao said. “Those days were filled with darkness and I felt like my whole life would forever be a lowly and mediocre servant.”

Olivia Niu, a 23-year-old Hong Kong resident, is also a good example. She quit the waitress job right after the first day of work. “During the peak hours, the work will be very busy, even though I am very hungry, but I still have to try to prepare meals for customers,” Niu said.

The service robot was developed by Pudu Tech, a three-year startup in Shenzhen

Becoming a waiter has never been a top career choice but it is still a great source of employment in China. Yang Chunyan, a waitress at Lanlifang Hotel in Wenzhou, southeast China, had two children and said she chose this job because she needed to make a living.

The young generation of China today has a bigger vision and understands more of the field. Among those born after 2000, 24.5% wanted a career related to literature and the arts. Next is education and IT industry in second and third place, according to aggregated information from Tencent QQ and China Youth Daily.

This makes it difficult for Chinese executives to recruit qualified staff, and even if so, very few people can withstand the daily pressure of hundreds of food orders. , so the best option is probably robots.

Impressive technology applications in sports at CES 2018

Assistive technology applications in the field of sports made a strong impression at CES 2018. Let’s take a look at some interesting inventions at CES 2018.

World boxing champion Floyd Mayweather has just launched a boxing training system based on VR technology. Using this system you can battle with boxing champion who has never lost.

James Williams, CEO of Mayweather Boxing plus Fitness, said: “Through every stage, you will learn how Floyd Mayweather defeats his rivals.”

There are also reflex training systems for athletes, helping athletes measure and practice their reflex speed.

“All major sports teams in the world use systems like this,” said Bob Bouw, sales representative of the Fitlight reflex system.

Meanwhile, a foldable electronic display system is used to measure hand-eye coordination, peripheral vision and many other reflex functions. This system serves the purpose of detecting whether athletes are experiencing a concussion.

Regular testing has also been scientifically proven to improve coordination smoothly – an indication that technology is strengthening for both the mental and physical aspects of sport.

There have been some interesting inventions introduced at the world’s largest consumer electronics exhibition (CES) 2018 in Las Vegas, USA.

Pouring wine without opening the bottle

Pouring wine without opening a bottle – what seems like only in this magic is true with Coravin special equipment. By piercing the cork with a tiny needle, users can pour out the wine while keeping the lid closed. As a result, the taste of expensive wines will be preserved, and the bottle can be kept in the cellar for a long time. However, the price of this product is also quite expensive, up to 999USD.

The TV can be rolled up

Flat-screen TVs, curved-screen TVs, and now even scrollable TVs. LG 65 “OLED TV, using flexible screen technology, when not in use can be rolled into the box to save space. So you can easily carry this TV to Wherever you want, users can use only part of the screen for a variety of purposes, such as checking the weather or adjusting music.

Virtual headset

Listen to music while working, without wearing headphones, nor does it affect anyone – office workers’ dreams will come true with the smart device of an Israeli startup.

The system, called Noveto, can track faces and shape the position of the ears, and then transmit the sound straight there. This type of virtual headset promises to be widely used in cars or entertainment centers.

Advanced technologies are applied in sports (Part 2)

Shoes and balls with electronic chips

Attaching chips to shoes and balls has now become relatively common. Initially the technology paid little attention, but in late 2011, Adidas in one of its advertising campaigns gave famous player Messi the use of these “smart shoes“.

In addition to using the best materials (super light, super durable), the design best suited to each player’s condition, it also has an electronic chip under the shoe.

This chip is capable of collecting all data during the match to know how Messi played in 90 minutes: how many kilometers run, the highest speed, the average speed, power, etc. so that can give diet, training appropriate for Messi in particular and other football stars in general.

Swimwear speeds up

FINA’s Federation Internationale de Natation has approved athletes who use swimwear to reduce water resistance from the 2000 Olympic Trials.

Until the 2008 Olympics, Speedo’s LZR Racer swimwear went above all to become the most popular swimwear for swimmers. Since Speedo LZR Racer sets, strange numbers have been recorded on the green track.

Only in 2008, there were more than 40 new records on the established swimming lanes, this number was even double what the swimmers did during the 30 years before 2008. Of course. setting new records can also be set due to many other objective factors such as diet, exercise, mood etc.

Many legendary swimmers have broken many records when wearing this special swimsuit

But a series of set records also partly demonstrate that this particular swimsuit will help many athletes reach their destination a few hundred seconds earlier, which is more than enough for sports. Competitive on time like swimming.

Chip

Position mounted on shoes

Since then, the installation of electronic chips into balls and competition shoes has also been formed. The chip attached to the outside ball to measure the parameters, also intended to combine with the hawk eye system, determine whether the goals of the players are valid or not.

iOS 10 officially launched worldwide

On the morning of September 14, Apple officially launched the iOS 10 version to global users.

Apple’s new iOS 10 update has a capacity of more than 1 GB, this is also the largest iOS update version of the “apple house” in 2016.

iOS 10 was first introduced by Apple at the 2016 WWDC Developers Conference in June, supporting 10 important new features. Highlights include a redesigned lock screen with richer notifications, the ability to interact quickly with apps and expand the 3D Touch option.

In particular, Raise to wake is a new feature capable of waking up the phone lock screen when it is raised, allowing you to have an overview of notifications or updates. The new notification system can work with 3D Touch, allowing you to view and interact with them.

Siri now has better context recognition. It will make intelligent suggestions based on your current location, calendar, contacts, recent contacts, etc.It all relies on Apple’s increasingly mature artificial intelligence system, like what Google has brought to Google Now.

The Photos app is also smarter in detecting and classifying images on the device. The device will group related images together, such as trips, photos last weekend or last year … Then it can automatically revise the film to highlight a specific trip or event.

The key point of iOS 10 is to improve iMessage, the most frequently used app on iOS. It can play videos right in the message stream, triple emoji zoom, and message content can be converted into emoji characters with just one touch. Users can also send videos and attach handwriting to this video.

Devices that can be upgraded to iOS 10 include: iPhone 5 or later, 6th generation iPod Touch, iPad mini 2 or later, iPad 4, iPad Air and iPad Pro models.

Currently, to upgrade to iOS 10 users only need to connect to the internet, go to Settings> General> Software Update.
