Apple has removed the physical Home button that integrates the Touch ID fingerprint sensor and replaced it with the Face ID face unlock feature. Now, Apple has found a new solution to be able to bring the fingerprint sensor back to the iPhone but without the need of a physical Home button.
Apple is not the first company to bring fingerprint sensors to its smartphones. Apple has created a trend of integrating fingerprint sensors on mobile devices and now almost every smartphone is integrated with a fingerprint sensor.

According to Patently Apple, Apple’s solution is to equip a number of cameras hidden below the screen of the iPhone. These cameras will not be visible to the user but will be used to capture fingerprints.
Users can easily unlock iPhone or conduct payment transactions via iPhone just by touching the product screen. Apple’s new patent shows that they use different technology from other brands to integrate the fingerprint sensor into the screen.
