Technology of sports shoe soles: The race to conquer the market(Part 1)

Current technology is considered to be the decisive factor in the sports shoes market. So what is the difference in shoe sole technology between famous brands?

In recent years, it can be seen that the application of advanced technology in the production of sports shoes has become a key for big brands to conquer this potential market. The application of soles technology has brought sports shoes to a new level, with outstanding features to meet the needs of the sport more fully.

Typically Boost and React technology come from two famous brands adidas and Nike, which has made fans excited over the past time. However, each technology is a breakthrough, and many other brands are also trying to join the race with “big” like adidas and Nike. So what is the difference in shoe soles technology among famous sports brands today?

In the competitive race of the world of sports shoes, the launch of Boost technology from adidas famous brand has stirred the fans. EVA compression layer – Ethylene Vinyl Acetate, an elastic material that has been popular in use for decades. But with Boost technology, a combination with the BASF compound has created a new revolution that has changed many aspects of the sports shoe industry.

The adidas Energy Boost midsole sole, the first shoe to introduce fans to technology, looks like a white polystyrene sponge at first glance, but it is actually made from hundreds of thermoplastic polyurethane TPU. Not only does it reduce the tension of the human feet when it touches the ground more than when using the EVA sole, but also has the ability to bounce back to its original state immediately. This in theory means that the shoes will help the wearer consume less energy, can run far and faster.

Many people are still skeptical about this new technology but with online training software miCoach interactive, adidas is ready to challenge their doubts. Just attach the adidas Speed_Cell speedometer and you will be ready to experience and record a new achievement yourself.

Miami Heat takes care of fans perfectly thanks to Microsoft’s technology

With the goal of helping fans have the perfect experience in the NBA 2019/20 season, Miami Heat has applied cloud technology called Microsoft’s Azure.

Through this technology, Miami Heat can analyze data related to the online activities of fans inside the game field, including purchase and sale history, thereby serving each audience in a manner more thoughtful.

Specifically, as soon as the gate to the stadium, entrance tickets automatically appear on the phone screen of the fans. Stepping inside the stadium, the fans will receive messages from vendors from food, clothing, and basketball accessories. In other words, your job is just to come and enjoy the game, the rest will be … Azure’s business.

Azure Technology helps Miami Heat to serve fans better through smartphones

The arrival of Microsoft’s Azure platform has also brought positive changes to the way Miami Miami’s stadium operates. By analyzing the time the fans comes to watch the match, the grocery store will re-adjust the time to prepare food, minimizing the excess or spoilage of food.

Meanwhile, Ms. Lisette Toirac Perdomo, Head of Miami Heat Data Platform Services, emphasized: “We want to understand our fans more. Therefore, Miami Heat is having bold ideas to “predict” the needs of fans to respond quickly and promptly. ”

To create a digital experience that is consistent with the fans, Miami Heat not only analyzes data related to food or goods sales, but also builds a “360 degree profile” for each fan, including aggregate their interactions in the gym as well as on applications and platforms such as Heat App, Heat.com, AAArena.com and MiamiHeatstore.com.

The use of the Azure platform also helps Miami Heat “detail” information about supporters through Adobe Analytics software. After that, the team will deploy the Adobe Campaign to contact directly with the fans, providing a great experience for each individual.

After witnessing the outstanding growth in ticket sales as well as saving a large amount of costs, Miami Heat is planning to support other teams in attracting and taking care of fans.

Top 5 “extreme technologies” applied at the 2018 World Cup (Part 1)

World Cup 2018 is becoming more watchable than ever, not only because of fascinating matches, famous players but also by the following unique technology applications.

VAR

VAR (Video Assistant Referee), roughly translated as “Video Arbitration Assistant”, is a system of cameras arranged throughout the yard to best control situations of disputes, collisions, resulting goals, etc. FIFA special, trained and professional assistants will be used to assume this position.

In total, there will be more than 30 cameras installed throughout the game field, supporting slow-motion technology (Slow-motion and Ultra-Slow motion) with the ability to record the sharpest of every game of the match. The assistant team watching VAR will contact the referees by a private line.

They will help the “black king” have more information and the most accurate information before making a decision about a ball. FIFA plans to apply this VAR technology in all 64 matches at the 2018 World Cup.

As can be seen, VAR technology is applied in every match of 2018 World Cup, which helps confirm the results objectively.

Although meant to limit the errors of the referees, but, in some cases, VAR does not promote its use. As at the A-League Australia, this technology has had a negative impact on the outcome of some matches.

Things to know about VAR technology

In order to limit this, FIFA has upgraded VAR and called the improved version “VAR Information System“. However, football fans are still dissatisfied with this technology, especially when VAR made the referee take more time before making a decision. This of course has affected the attractiveness of some matches.

Therefore, some supporters did not hesitate to criticize VAR as a “technological disaster”.

4K TV technology (4K UHD Video & VR)

If VAR has caused mixed opinions, with 4K TV (4K UHD Video & VR) technology, football fans can’t seem to find any reason to blame it.

Impressive technology applications in sports at CES 2018

Assistive technology applications in the field of sports made a strong impression at CES 2018. Let’s take a look at some interesting inventions at CES 2018.

World boxing champion Floyd Mayweather has just launched a boxing training system based on VR technology. Using this system you can battle with boxing champion who has never lost.

James Williams, CEO of Mayweather Boxing plus Fitness, said: “Through every stage, you will learn how Floyd Mayweather defeats his rivals.”

There are also reflex training systems for athletes, helping athletes measure and practice their reflex speed.

“All major sports teams in the world use systems like this,” said Bob Bouw, sales representative of the Fitlight reflex system.

Meanwhile, a foldable electronic display system is used to measure hand-eye coordination, peripheral vision and many other reflex functions. This system serves the purpose of detecting whether athletes are experiencing a concussion.

Regular testing has also been scientifically proven to improve coordination smoothly – an indication that technology is strengthening for both the mental and physical aspects of sport.

There have been some interesting inventions introduced at the world’s largest consumer electronics exhibition (CES) 2018 in Las Vegas, USA.

Pouring wine without opening the bottle

Pouring wine without opening a bottle – what seems like only in this magic is true with Coravin special equipment. By piercing the cork with a tiny needle, users can pour out the wine while keeping the lid closed. As a result, the taste of expensive wines will be preserved, and the bottle can be kept in the cellar for a long time. However, the price of this product is also quite expensive, up to 999USD.

The TV can be rolled up

Flat-screen TVs, curved-screen TVs, and now even scrollable TVs. LG 65 “OLED TV, using flexible screen technology, when not in use can be rolled into the box to save space. So you can easily carry this TV to Wherever you want, users can use only part of the screen for a variety of purposes, such as checking the weather or adjusting music.

Virtual headset

Listen to music while working, without wearing headphones, nor does it affect anyone – office workers’ dreams will come true with the smart device of an Israeli startup.

The system, called Noveto, can track faces and shape the position of the ears, and then transmit the sound straight there. This type of virtual headset promises to be widely used in cars or entertainment centers.
